All of Alison's recent posts have been about Journalism, having a cold and Journalism. If you would like to read about Oldboy and J.Lo instead you can do that here.

so...

If Laurel's permalinks worked, then I could tell you about how I'm very interested in the results of her S.A.T. experiment. Maybe that's just because I sometimes wear my glasses and sometimes don't. But either way. Godspeed!

my socrates note

My current blog entry today mostly just tells you about my other blog. More Alison than you want or need.

Bucknell! I freaking love Bucknell!

Bucknell University! I love 'em!

Enough of the lies!

Yup, I have a blog. Have for a little while now. Nobody knew until today. Come on by and say hello.

Rock 'N Roll Friends, and other boring stuff

Everyone! Point and stare at Paul! He's new!

Some other notes -- we still have plenty of people not yet participating, and if it's by choice, well, they can suck it. But if it's because they haven't been invited yet, then they should email me and join the party. And if someone should be on the sidebar, and they aren't yet, also email me or post in the comments of this post. Assuming, of course, that I've enabled comments by the time you read this.

In fact, discuss comments. Would you like them here? For all posts? Or just for maintenance/discussion/annoucement posts like this one?

Pros of comments on this blog: Snarky interpersonal communication.

Cons of comments on this blog: People might not post comments on YOUR blog; two different blogs to check for comments on your post.

I lean towards no comments with exceptions for posts like these. But this is a democracy. And by democracy I mean "group blog of which I am the sole administrator."

Hey, at least I let you guys pretend to have a say, right?

EDITED TO ADD: Please don't rise up against me. Democracy is great. Magna Carta! Who!

Listen Lady...

Between yesterday and today, I've talked a bit about the upcoming We3 trade, my flat tire, and how Brad Bird is apparently a tyrannical overlord.

Asa, you very well know I haven't called you two gay in quite some time! (I believe the last time was when I heard about the dog walking). And while I've come to accept that maybe you and Alex and not quite the soulmates I had hoped you would be, you can find out how Grady's real soulmate is James Joyce and other miscellanea.

Dear Neil Gaiman...

What the hell?

I know! A blog about blogs! It's crazy!

But as we're all accumulate blogs and photo sites and so forth, I think it'll nifty to have a way to post about cool updates, recent entries, and the usual. Plus, I'm sick of having to check eight thousand sites to see if they've been updated -- I know I can use an RSS feed reader, but my laziness has limits. Hence, a Blog Collective that can serve to unite us and inform the world of our excellence. See Damn Hell Ass Kings to see exactly what we're ripping off here.

You got a website or weblog and you wanna join in? Cool. Here's the way this can work. Simply email me or find some other way to tell me that you want in on this crazy group blog thing. Then I'll invite you to join. Perhaps later we'll get more restrictive with who can join (keeping this for those who are more closely connected), but for right now anyone's fair game.

Then, once a day or whenever you get around to updating, just post an entry to this blog about the latest updates to your blog. This is super-easy, especially if you use BlogThis! -- just put the name of your blog as the post title, and then in the content section of the blog, just write a summary/teaser of whatever you want to post, along with a link to the site. See my first entry for clarification.

Right now, the sidebar reflects a vague sampling of the blogs I know about. Please inform me if you would also like to be added there. Later on, if people end up digging this idea, I'll spring for a domain name and cooler technology. There are a ton of cool applications for this site. New Mosquito Circus radio shows can be announced here. Cash Milliondollars strips can be posted. Think of it as a public showcase of our talents and oddities. Imagine the masses, coming to worship at our feet.

Or, you know, waking up in the morning and having just a little less blog-surfing to do.

Whatever works for you.
